CAT TOOLS & Terminology Management
As professional language practioners, we take pride in using the most up to date technologies and processes. This includes Computer Assisted Translation Tools (CAT Tools), which are used both for translation and for Terminology Management . CAT Tools are essential for technical editorial processes, i.e. for setting up company manuals, product descriptions, and for localising software and homepages. However, they are also used for other types of text that contain a great many repetitions.
Using CAT Tools requires the provision of preliminary editable data in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, or FrameMaker form.
